The BYOBW is back!
That’s right kids, the 8th Annual Bring Your Own Big Wheel race is on SUNDAY MARCH 23rd at 5pm. Vermont St & 20th.
Now this year we can’t use our old course cause too many of you last year found out about this crazy little event and after 6 years of holding this event, for the first time we were threatened with lawyers and what not. So this year, we decided to hold onto the information a little longer and part of the agreement not to sue was that we would need to find a new course. Well, we did. Undaunted by this, we found a street curvier than Lombard Street. We found Vermont Street. A true San Francisco hidden treasure. So, get your plastic ride in order and lets race!

Re: SF's actual curviest street
Thu, March 20, 2008 - 11:57 AMYou should turn the lawyers on the tv commercial for some car that totally stole the theme of the commercial from the BYOBW...
Anyways, I wish I could come. Why does it have to be on Easter Weekend? Any other weekend, I would be there, wrapped in 6" of bubble wrap with my super decked out Big Wheel (ok, so it's really some tiny pink tricycle from Goodwill). -

Re: SF's actual curviest street
Thu, March 20, 2008 - 1:49 PMThey didn't "steal" it. Satcchi (the pr firm) called Jon Brumit, who's event it ultimately is and asked him if he would consult on it. He declined their offer and they did it anyway. There is no intellectual property in racing Big Wheels.
